When searching files for specific information, try CMD+OPT+I to open the inspector as a live window. As you click on different files, this screen live updates the information. No need to open new windows or repeat commands
Delete smarter. Use CMD+OPT+DELETE to Permanently delete a file (no turning back so use carefully)
Desktop with lots of open apps… Slack, Notes, Finder, Safari? Click OPT+yellow minimize button and all window of that app disappear to the Dock at one.
Something more interesting and you want fewer distractions? CMD+OPT+H will hide the other apps leaving only the current window visible for better deep focus.
Have lots of tabs open on Safari? Afraid of loosing them if you close the app? CMD+OPT+Q quits Safari but remembers all your windows and tabs for next time.
Don’t want to use the green maximize button? OPT+Green button will resize the window to fill the screen without triggering full-screen mode.This is a lifesaver if you’re using multiple apps side-by-side or don’t want macOS creating a new virtual desktop.
Wi-Fi Troubleshooting: Hold Option and click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu
bar. Suddenly, you get signal strength, IP address, security protocol, and
more — all in one quick glance.
Audio Switching: Hold Option while clicking the sound icon. You’ll get a
list of all your audio input/output devices — headphones, speakers, mics— ready to switch in two clicks.
System Information Shortcut: Click the Apple logo top-left, hold Option,
and “About This Mac” changes to System Information.

Fine tune Brightness and Volume – SHFT+OPT+Volume for incremental changes to get it just right. SHFT+OPT+ Brightness key (F1 and F2) to adjust screen in small steps.

Option + ← / → : Move cursor one word at a time.
Option + ↑ / ↓ : Move up/down a paragraph.
Shift + Option + ← / → : Select entire words quickly.
Shift + Option + ↑ / ↓ : Select full lines or blocks of text.
Instant calendar duplicates – Hold OPT+drag the event to a new location and done, a copy is made.
Computer stuck or mouse froze – instead of a restart type OPT+CMF+ESC for the Force Quit window and quit the app that shows “no responding”.
