This is overview of Raycast, a free alternative with many more features, than the standard Spotlight that is included with all Macs. Raycast is only available on a Mac and not on IOS or Windows at this time.
While Spotlight can do many things, Raycast can do much more. It relieves you from using the mouse/trackpad and Dock or Mission Control so much. Launch your apps and perform many other actions with just a couple of keystrokes.
Use CMD+spacebar to open Raycast, after using System Settings to change that from opening Spotlight.
Many features are built in and there are thousands more available for free as extensions. Now AI is added as an additional feature to help you work more quickly an efficiently. Stay on top of what’s coming up and things you don’t want to miss by using Raycast.
The list below gives you an idea of all the things it can do, but you will need to watch some YouTube videos and/or go to the Raycast channel for more “how too”.
