Ten New Features of Evernote

(summarized from an article by Anshul Kumar on www.mynextgendigital.medium.com)

Evernote is still evolving, but these new features show promise for the future. Some may not be as polished as we’d like but good progress is being made. Today, 8/31/21 I updated on MacOS to Evernote v10.20.4.

  1. Tasks – you can even assign them to others.
  2. Connect to your Google Calendar to include notes to important events.
  3. Home – the home dashboard presents tasks and Calendar to see thing in one view. Home view is also customizable.
  4. Linux – Evernote cross platform structure now includes Linux, but it’s still in Beta.
  5. Search – search gets new features to include: date created, media type contained in note and geographic location.
  6. Notes can be exported as PDFs as well a bulk export, and other ways to manipulate notes. You can now attach Google Drive files.
  7. Tables include more editing features on desktop or mobile/tablets.
  8. Evernote now includes over 100 keyboard shortcuts.
  9. Dark Mode option is available.
  10. There are three tiers of subscription plans: Free (formerly basic) has some expanded features; Personal includes Tasks, widgets and connection to Google Calendar; and Professional (formerly Premium) has all the features available with assignable Tasks, connect to multiple Google Calendars, more Home customization and double the capacity upload of Personal.

Evernote Teams (formerly Business) is for multiple users and more administrative controls and security.
