PBS Passport – shows, news, documentaries, NOVA, and even some foreign TV

AARP – actually you only have to be 18!  The most used, for me, are the restaurant discounts. Usually 10%, sometimes 15%. Just depends. But also discounts on lodging, vehicle rentals, all kinds of stuff.”

Massage and car washes. You’ll have to shop around locally. 

Local Museums offer interesting displays and special events such as Jazz night or wine tastings.

Emergency Medical Transportation. If you live in a remote area, parts of some states such as Alaska, you can save thousands. A helicopter trip might cost you $50k!. Membership might only cost a couple of hundred annually. Sure, you might never use it… but you never know.

The Great Courses (now part of Wondrium). Find hundreds of courses on a variety of subjects taught by experts. Life long learners will love this.

Local YMCA. Most have pools, gyms, sauna and even childcare for very reasonable feels. Make new friends, get stronger and loose weight.

AAA – most people have a car and the annual fee could save hundreds in towing. Need gas or tire change… you have a friend here. Sometimes you can even renew your license without going to the local DMV. Travel options/trips too.

Your local library – besides books and magazines, you can access digital services. Some city libraries loan tools, games, night vision goggles, trail cams.

National Park Pass are a good deal especially for seniors or Veterans. Vets get a complimentary pass and those with a permanent disability get one too.

Cook’s Illustrated website. Great for tested recipes, guidance and reviews on cookware. For aspiring chef’s.

Costco – It’s a good deal but not for everyone. Lots of savings on many items. Some swear by their hearing aids.
